I want this I want this I want this.  In fact - I would argue that I need this. 

To carry our baby around...looks so convenient.  I would still have my hands available...for washing dishes, or reading books, or blogging with the baby.  Or for taking in a walk at the park, a quick trip to the grocery store or for an outing to the library.  Possibilities are endless.

I've been wedding project queen these last couple weeks.  And our house is slowly but surly packing away into cardboard boxes that get piled up in the corners of every room.


I'm getting excited to have my husband all to myself...as we are moving to a place where we don't know a soul.  I try to think positive about this, because the thought of moving away from my family makes my eyes leak.

So I think about decorating our new place.  I can't wait to create an "our home." 

I'm thinking this pillow is too cute for words.  We had birds on our wedding invitation.  I wonder if every time I see birds I will think of us.  Enter to win a gift cert at August & After to win this!!

It's drawing near...our move to New York.  I'm getting excited, obviously, but the reality of it is starting to set in and it's making me a little on the uneasy side.  We have decided not to "move" our furniture...it would cost way more than any of our furniture is worth...we live among sweet garage sale finds and great old hand-me-down pieces.  Plus, we don't have towing capabilities on our lil cars.  So when we move, we'll have our inflatable mattress (which actually needs replacing as we recently found out it has a leak!) and our clothes and books and whatever goodies our wedding blesses us with!

So then I started having a lil anxiety about this "choice" of ours.  We won't even have a lamp.  Or a TV.  Or a freaking chair to sit in!  My friend Jesselyn is hosting a $50 giveaway to CSN on her blog. I'm crossing my fingers that I win so I can replace our air mattress....or buy that pretty lamp.  Hummmm.

I wear a lot of flats.  Well, actually I don't own lots...I just wear the couple pairs I have a lot.  High heels kill me...though they give me quite a nice swagger.  I'm partial to the shoes that keep me grounded and casual.  Except these are kinda shiny...and flirty...and fun.  Sign up to win a pair at A Chocolate Lover's Confessions!

I am becoming more and more interested in interesting kitchen linens.  Is this peculiar?  I find myself spending entirely too long gazing at, and feeling up, the beautiful cloth goods in kitchen boutiques.  In fact, I even purchased a set of yellow napkins.  They were clearance...6 for $1...and they are a mustardy yellow, with a nice durable weight to them - quite a steal right!?  I bought them with the intention of embroidering something cute along the edge.  I bet that never happens...and they stay yellow. 

I'm rather smitten with the kettle image on these tea towels.  I thought for sure the tree would capture me (as most trees do)...or the lighthouse (Tommy and I had our first date at a historic lighthouse!).  And then, the octopus is clearly rad in ever stylistic way.

my new button ring *bling*

I won a RADICAL contest at Earth Friendly Weddings a little while back and one of my prizes was a vintage button ring from Beyond The Rockz...a crazy cool lil Etsy shop. I received it in the mail last week and I've been rockin' it everyday since! It is a bold splash of color in a simple shape that I totally dig...and the fact that it's a vintage button makes it EVEN COOLER! Don't you just love it? Lemme tell you...it looks really good on me. ;-)
