pottery
I have a friend who only stocks her cupboards with handmade pieces of pottery. All of her mugs, plates and bowls are an eclectic mix made in the hands of various potters. She said most of the pieces she picked up at garage sales and flea markets...occasionally she would splurge on a piece from a studio.
It felt special to eat at her house...even if we were only dining on nachos and iced-water (gotta love college memories). The pieces were so beautiful. I decided I wanted to do that too. Maybe someday. Picture via DesignMom.

outstanding tent, indeed
Found this gem of a tent over at Apartment Therapy. HAD to share. Because...well...it's a quilt tent. And that makes it all the more cozy and fantastic, really. Tents are by Field Candy.

bookcase: lost or lust?
I feel like this is what my house would look like if I wasn't married and I didn't have a child. A lot of stuff everywhere. Organized chaos...with lots of worthless treasures from yard sales and museum shops. Instead - I try to reign things in. I don't know why. From here i suwannee = a site about bookcases...it's amazing.

patchwork bear
My child has two baskets of stuffed animals. All from various family members (most are from her uncle who LOVES stuffed animals.) Personally, I've never purchased one...well...not since I was a little kid myself anyway. I rarely see stuffies that I fall in love with. But I kinda sorta fell in love with these little guys. From My Sweet Muffin.

clean 15
I struggle to purchase the "right" foods for my little one. It's such an EXPENSIVE route to go organic...and most of the time we can't afford the luxury. But Thanks to Kayla...one of my favorite bloggers (check her out at Exquisite Banana) she created these brilliant charts that make it easier to figure out which organic varieties to splurge on. Love that.

moravian book shop
I was skimming the pages of Apartment Therapy tonight when I stumbled upon this feature about the Moravian Book Shop in Bethlehem, PA. I spent my 30th birthday in this sweet little town...during the height of their Christmas festivities. Most charming Christmas experience, I must admit. My husband and daughter bought my pretty Troll bracelet there.

tilt shifted van gogh
Saw these here and they gave me goosebumps. You see, I've had a relationship with Vincent for years...when I experience his pieces in museums it's like spending time with an old friend. While I was in NYC this weekend the dinner conversation turned to my Vincent, and my mood instantly lightened...and made me long for a museum adventure asap. I need to spend some time with his work soon...it's been an awfully long time. Alas...no museum adventure could be squeezed in. But these images are delightful!!
